Depending on the client needs, the protection at L7 by Qrator Labs can work in synchronous or asynchronous attack mitigation mode.
In asynchronous mode, all IP address requests are filtered without delay, and then after traffic analysis, subsequent malicious requests are cut off. The attack response speed varies from 0 to 30 seconds, and web resource block could start immediately as a DDoS attack is detected.
In synchronous mode, the suspicious traffic could be blocked at the first request. Only after checking the reputation of an IP and collecting preliminary statistics, traffic is allowed through, or the system blocks illegal, or unwanted activity.
